This site should work for everyone.
What we've done to meet WCAG 2.2 AA, what still falls short, and how to tell us when something's in the way.
Statement dated September 30, 2026. Reviewed with each significant change to the site.
Our commitment
Jack's Fish Club wants everyone to be able to use this site, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, voice control, or who prefer reduced motion. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, the standard referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 508, the European Accessibility Act and EN 301 549, the UK Equality Act, and Ontario's AODA.
What we've done
- Every page works with a keyboard alone. A "Skip to content" link appears as the first item when you press Tab, and every focused element shows a visible outline.
- Text and background colors meet at least a 4.5:1 contrast ratio, including small captions and the color accents used for each client brand.
- Headings are in order, links say where they go, form fields have visible labels, and required fields are marked in a way assistive technology reads.
- Photographs have descriptive alternative text; decorative images are marked so screen readers skip them.
- The demo videos contain no audio or speech, so no captions are needed; each has a written description beside it and a Pause control. The opening animation lasts under five seconds and can be dismissed with a click.
- If your device asks for reduced motion, the opening animation is skipped, videos don't autoplay, and scrolling isn't animated.
- Text can be resized to 200% and the layout reflows on narrow screens without horizontal scrolling.
- Nothing flashes, and no content is limited by time.
Known limitations
- Interactive demos. The demos open in their own window and are working copies of real applications, so they don't yet meet every WCAG criterion, in particular drag-and-drop in the CRM demo and the map demo, which have no full keyboard alternative. The video beside each demo shows the same workflow, and we're happy to walk anyone through it live.
- Documents. Some downloadable documents were produced as PDFs without full tagging. Ask and we'll send an accessible version.
Compatibility
The site is plain HTML, CSS and a small amount of JavaScript, with no frameworks. It's built for current versions of Safari, Chrome, Firefox and Edge on desktop and mobile, checked with keyboard-only navigation and automated accessibility testing, and works without JavaScript except for the video controls and the mobile menu.
